Romanian teams maintained high standards in EMF Champions League

Romania participated in this year’s edition of EMF Champions League with nine teams. The teams representing the most decorated nation in the history of European minifootball managed good results, almost equalling those of last year. In Maribor, Romanian teams finished second, third and fourth, now in Terme Catez, they managed third and fourth place.

Despite the challenging weather conditions the senior teams took the fields Monday morning to decide the best senior minifootball team. MAV Glissando senior reached the final after overcoming Slovakia B in the semi finals. In the final they beat KMN Meteorplast to 1:0 to take the gold medals home.

The EMF Champions League found its new champions tonight: Dadi/Eurozox NO-MI. The Montenegrin team first beat MAV Glissando in the semi finals, then ECOS in the final to be worthy of lifting the EMF Champions League trophy into the air at the end of this year’s tournament.

The first day of this year’s edition of EMF Champions League started with twenty teams taking the fields in Terme Čatež 9 a.m., on Friday morning, to open the three-day tournament. By the end of the day all teams have played two rounds and the best 19 began to take shape.
